Taylor Rogers Celebrates Ten Years of Service Time

Taylor Rogers came full circle this year when he signed as a free agent with Minnesota, the franchise where he made his major league debut in 2016. Over parts of 11 seasons as a reliever with the Twins, Giants, Padres, Reds, Brewers and Cubs, Taylor has recorded 83 saves and averaged 10.4 strikeouts per nine innings. He was an American League All-Star in 2021.
Taylor is 30 seconds older than his twin brother, Tyler, who has logged eight MLB seasons as a reliever with the Giants, Mets and Blue Jays. In 2022, the Rogers brothers became the first set of twins to appear in the same game since Jose and Ozzie Canseco did so in 1990. In 2023 and 2024, Taylor and Tyler shared a bullpen as teammates in San Francisco.
Taylor and Tyler's father, Scott, was a fourth-generation firefighter in Colorado, and was active in the firefighters union. Taylor gravitated to a leadership role as the Minnesota Twins' player representative during the 2020-2021 seasons and has been a strong and steady voice for the MLBPA throughout his career.
